STUDIO LOCATION

LUMIN8 STUDIOS has a complete Audio Engineering, Sound Design, and Film Scoring setup. We primarily track through Universal Audio LUNA, and do a large majority of our sequencing and VST’s using Native Instruments MASCHINE STUDIO, the Komplete Collection, and many 3rd parties softwares including Omnisphere, Heavyosity, and More !

OUTBOARD GEAR
We have some custom made Preamps for our vocal chains – audio Interfaces, compressors, EQ’s, Tube and FET based Channel Strips, Analog and Digital Reverbs, Analog and Digital Delays, Virtual Instruments, and other very unique tone shaping and sound generating outboard gear. The goal here was simple, offer a unique sound and experience for creating music, we believe our custom hardware is a big part of establishing a vibe, and helping you to not only hear your songs, but to feel them as they take shape.

MICS
We also have a ever growing microphone locker. Here are a few mics below we use to tracks instruments, and vocals, as well as foley / ADR for film.

STRINGED INSTRUMENTS
We also have some in house instruments and amplifiers, in case you are looking for a different sound for your recording. Many of our instruments and amps are custom modified. Many guitars have upgraded pickups, and electronics, and almost all of our amps have upgraded transformers, speakers, and other tone shaping modifications.

SOUND DESIGN
We love taking our artists on an explorative journey when creating sounds, especially if a majority of their experience is only working in the box ( virtually in their DAW with plugins ). This hands on approach using analog synthesizers, and analog effects, real amps and speaker cabs definitely creates and unexpected feeling that really drives the emotion of any artists songs. Even if you never used this kind of hardware, our lead engineer Joseph will have no problem getting you up to speed on sound design using these amazing vintage and modern sound generating monsters.
